How To Be More Productive Without Losing Your Mind

Get more done
How do you get more done, be more productive without losing your brains?

They say the mark of insanity is performing the same actions and hoping for a different outcome. Often times, attempting to be productive causes a great deal of insanity. Trying to accomplish everything on your to-do list while implementing self-care can be difficult. Yet and still, you continue your daily routine while inwardly deteriorating. Is there an algorithm for becoming more productive without losing your marbles?

Document Everything

Our minds can become bombarded with endless to-do lists, obligations, and dreams. Writing down your daily tasks helps you to stay organized and aware of what needs to be taken care of. By doing so, you will remain on track without feeling overwhelmed. Many take planning to the next level by making it creative and fun.

Countless stores are stocked with beautiful stationery and planners that take the stress off of planning. What’s awesome about writing your tasks down is that you can keep track of your progress by making side-notes. This way, you can stay up-to-date and in the know!

Take Breaks

There’s a reason why employers are designated by law to provide 30-60 minute lunch breaks for their employees. After dedicating a specific amount of time to a project or deadline, often times our minds are clouded. Some individuals who are over-worked even experience moments of exhaustion. Taking breaks is necessary to providing mental clarity so you can return to your work energized.

In addition, trying to accomplish a given goal can dictate most of your time. Instead of devoting hours to work, spend time engaging in activities that you enjoy. Catch up with friends and family members, practice self-care, and engage in creative activities that stimulate the mind. You will increase your motivation as opposed to being burnt out.

Implement a Strategic Plan to Accomplish Tasks

The main reason why many people remain overwhelmed with their to-do list is that they try and accomplish everything at once. Although ambitious, the process can be quite stressful. Implementing a prioritizing strategy towards accomplishing your goals will help you to feel organized and in control. Many find it helpful to prioritize tasks from urgent to less urgent. By doing so, you are able to accomplish what needs to be done immediately and schedule what needs to be completed later.

Hide the Electronics

Although technology can assist us with countless questions and tasks, turning your phone off while working can help improve your productivity. Often times, endless notifications can make you feel crazy and out of control. It’s almost an addictive feeling when hearing your phone beep. In order to keep your focus and sanity, place your phone away from sight while completing necessary tasks. This will enhance your focus, promote mental clarity, and eliminate distractions.

Designate Office Space

Many people suffer from insanity while accomplishing tasks because there is no established order. They try to complete their work at any chance and by any means. Designate a specific area for work and work only. Fill it with motivational posters, relating photos, and diffusing plants. This will help you to remain sane and separate business from relaxation.

Often times, people find it difficult separating the two in order to remain balanced. By designating a specific office space, you won’t feel like you’re bringing your work home when you allocate a specific space for work.

Being able to remain sane and accomplish your tasks isn’t a farfetched idea. By implementing planning and self-care, you’ll be able to accomplish your to-do list and feel productive without losing your mind. This will enhance your success and improve your mental clarity when juggling multiple goals.
